Linz Gutz

October 05, 2012

The styles, bling, designs and not to mention wonder person behind it all Lindsey Gutierrez is the latest in my Friday's Feature.  Have you heard of her?  She has a wonderful line of fun bracelets, and necklaces in a darling etsy shop.  You should check her out,  I know you will find a few new additions to your collection.  Her sideways cross bracelets, and well as her love bracelets are so popular!  And I love the pastel links she offers too.

Lindsey, better know as Linz Gutz Jewelz, has teamed up with me to offer to a lucky follower their very own sideways cross bracelet.  I love mine!  It is a lightweight chain, with a good size cross positioned sideways to compliment your wrist.  It stands alone as a great piece, or you can layer it up as I did here.  It is just the right amount of bling!

It is easy to enter.  Follow the instructions below in the rafflecopter form.  Good luck!

Top Handles

October 04, 2012

1 Alexander Wang  2 Givenchy  3 Valentino  4 Gucci  5 Alexander Wang  6  Pour La Victoire  7 Miu Miu  8  Brahmin

I love top handled bags.  They seem so elegant when you drape one over your arm.  They never seemed to be very practical for a mom to carry as she always needed her hands free.  But oh are they pretty.  I am looking for a good top handle and these lovelies have all caught my eye.  I am very smitten with # 5, and #6, but they are all so gorgeous!   I mentioned just this weekend to the BF that I was ready to change out my bag to carry another style.  He always looks at me when I say this like I have three heads.  It doesn't mean I don't love the one I am carrying, I just want a little something different for a change! I am lucky that my guy "gets" fashion, and he also loves to shop!

I  have no excuses.... I love bags, all shapes and sizes!  A girl needs choices ya know!   Which is your favorite?  Do you prefer a shoulder strap?

Randomness

October 03, 2012
I love October.  The crisp air, and smell of pumpkin spice candles burning.  I will be decorating my house this evening with a few of my favorite fall decorations!  I will share pics once I get it finished.   I also love that it is Oktoberfest in Tulsa time too!  My family is German and we love attending the festival for the entire 5 days!  I don't think I will be making it to Tulsa this year (again) for the polkas, dirndels, and brats, (I am not a beer drinker so that is something I don't miss ), but I would love to try!

My youngest son finally got his braces off!  Hooray for my last pair of braces!  He is very proud of his smile, and so far is faithful to his retainer!  He is looking very handsome and grown up now that his mouth is not full of metal. Eeeeekk!  They grow up so fast!

My youngest grandson will be one month old tomorrow!  ONE MONTH! I cannot believe how fast this first month has gone by.  They spend every weekend at my house, so I have gotten lots of Mimi time with him!  I cannot wait until spring when my oldest son and his family will be stationed in Kansas so that I can see the older grandbabies as much too!  On a side note to this, I cannot believe I have a baby swing sitting in my great room either!

Yesterday was my sister Donna's birthday.  She would have been 53.  I am thankful to have a great relationship with her daughters.  I think I see as much of her  in them as they see her in me!  It is a wonderful connection that keeps her close in my heart!

The BF's cousin will be in town from Florida this weekend, and we will be taking him out on the town!  Not sure exactly what that means for a couple of middle aged men and one girlfriend in tow..... but it should be interesting!  I will most likely be instagraming the evening!

I have already begun the christmas list of things to purchase for all the boys in my life!  I want to get a good start on buying them so I can stroll thru the month of December with my sanity!  Don't think I am crazy because I have started it!

I have a great month of collaborations lined up, and can't wait to share them with you!

What's random in your world?

Nina Nguyen

October 02, 2012
When Nina Nguyen contacted me to review a piece of her jewelry, I was excited!  I had checked out her website before and love her designs.  I chose the Cordelia bracelet in black and gold to review, and love it.  There are so many colors to choose from, but in the end I decided on black, being that it would be the most universal with so many outfits.  I know, I know,  you can't believe I didn't go with pink!  Well it was hard let me tell you!!

I receive tons of compliments on this wrap and it is a very dressy piece.  It is so versatile in what you pair it with that it would be great with a pair of jeans, or even with a little dress and heels.  This is my first piece of druzy, and wow!! I don't know what I was waiting on to own this!  Nina Nguyen has some fabulous new pieces you should check out, and so many leather choices of wraps. She also has fabulous rings, and necklaces too.  There are so many wonderful pieces you have to go see for yourself.  I promise you will find something to add to your jewelry box!  I have my eye on a few necklaces I would love to style up for fall with a few sweaters!

The Cordelia wraps around my wrist three time to create the layer look.  It is braided leather with a delicate gold chain as one of the strands of braid.  The back and sides of the druzy is dipped in gold to compliment the gold chain. The ends of the leather and chain are left longer to create a "tail" effect off the bracelet.

I plan on getting a lot of wear out of my new favorite piece.  I have styled it here  already!

*I was gifted a Cordelia bracelet to write my review however; the opinions and description are my own.  I will always be honest in what I think of a design.
