Leopard Scarf

September 30, 2013
Happy Monday lovelies!  I have really been scoring a few accessories to add to my wardrobe without breaking the bank!  I picked up this leopard scarf from Target a week ago and love it!  The shirt was from Target last year, and the pants... yup, Target again!  I was waiting for the perfect combo to wear my Rustic Cuff python cuff  for a full on fall look!  I think this was a successful outfit!

I had only a quick minute on Sunday and stopped into Nordstrom Rack and was lucky to score another great accessory.  I have been trying to keep an eye out for a skinny leopard belt and finally found it there!  The best part is, I had Nordstrom notes to use so it was free!!! Gotta love free!  As for the rest of my weekend, My sister and I worked on a fall DIY you will see next week, worked in the yard a little, enjoyed my neighbors around the fire pit, and helped one of my sons move.  What did you do this weekend?

Graphic Image Datebook

September 27, 2013
As we begin the last quarter of the year, its time to start thinking about your necessities for the new year. Yes, I just referred to the new year!  Graphic Image has the most fabulous leather office accessories.  From gorgeous desk accessories, to colorful datebooks, Graphic Image is definitely where you want to go for stylish office accoutrements.

I know many of you probably use your calendar on your phone to keep everything organized, but I prefer to use a paper planner, and when it looks this good who could blame me! I have teamed up with Graphic Image to giveaway a datebook for the coming year to one very lucky follower.  I did say lucky right!!?

A pretty note pad, my datebook, and laptop and I am organized.  I love to make list of all kinds.  I read once that if you keep a pad on your night stand, and wake in the night with thoughts and ideas, you should write them down and it frees your mind to get back to sleep.  It actually works!! I am busy between my blog, being a mom, and my day job that I need to be able to see what is on the horizon in my world, so when Graphic Image sent me this beautiful magenta embossed python datebook, I was excited.  Oh, and they even monogram it for you too!

Let get to business shall we?  Follow the instruction in the rafflecopter form below.  Don't forget to tweet about it every day if you want extra entries too!

Good luck!

The Borrowed Jean Jacket

September 26, 2013
Remember when I borrowed this jean jacket from my son here?  Well, he let me borrow it again!  A vintage denim Levi's jacket with the sleeves cut off!  Oh how I wish I could go back in time and shop my high school closet!  I would have so many cool things that are back in style!  Lesson to all you younger gals, pack the classics, and wait!  I paired my Cake for Breakfast tee in a bit of an edgier style over the weekend. I think the jeans and tee pretty much rock it without a lot of accessories needed.  What do you think?

Tee Cake For Breakfast c/o, Jeans Target, Shoes Ann Taylor, Clutch Kslademade, Bracelets Tiffanys, Bruce Glen, sunnies Chanel, Watch Michele.

Don't forget, today is your last chance to enter to win an Ampersand tee from Tessa just like this one.  Enter here!  Good luck!

Four Favorites / Fall

September 25, 2013

Crisp morning air, early sunsets, and leaves falling all are signs that fall is upon us.  I am giddy with excitement for all that this season brings.  I have pumpkins on my table all ready, (can't wait to share these with you) and believe it or not, I have a start on holiday shopping.

I am loving this weeks four faves.  I am in need of some new booties, and I really think I may go with a wedge this year.  I am looking forward to dark toes, and layering up scarves with chunky sweaters.  Oh, and this clutch?  L.O.V.E!!

Pink Gingham

September 24, 2013
It is beginning to look like fall around here if nothing else but in my outfits! Remember last fall when I was on the hunt for the perfect pink gingham, and found it at Gap?  Well it's back in rotation!  Something about pink gets me every time!  Sometimes I actually build my outfits from the wrist up!     It started with my new Cathryn Ann designs tassel bracelet, added my Rustic Cuff pink leopard, and Claudia Rowe love bangle and I had the base to a great outfit! What's your go to color?

When I first received my tee my outfit ideas were out of control.  I love the deep burgundy color, and the possibilities for fall were endless.   I have already worn mine several times, and next week I am sharing another outfit with you.

She has a hard time keeping them in stock and I can see why!  Super soft, and oh so cute!  It is a little bit of a baby doll fit, so if you're  in doubt of your size, I suggest going up a size! So here is your chance to win one!  Enter below with the rafflecopter form for your choice of  color ampersand tee from Cake For Breakfast and be as happy as I am  with mine!

Ampersand Tee

September 19, 2013

Jacket Target ~ Ampersand Tee Cake for Breakfast c/o ~ Skirt Ann Taylor (love this one)  ~ Shoes Target (similar and love these) ~ Bag Vintage LV ~ Sunnies Chanel ~ Pearls Personal collection~

Sometimes your shirt can say nothing at all and say it all! I dressed up this fun Cake for Breakfast ampersand tee for a work day.  I have to admit it was a little edgy for my office, so that's where the jacket came in handy to downplay the fact that it was a graphic tee!  Yeah, I'm a rule breaker, and envelope pusher!   Paired it with my lace up sandals and a kick pleat skirt and booyah!  The deep rich burgundy color of my tee is working nicely for this fall for me!  Don't you just love it?!

Four Favorites / Black & White

September 18, 2013

Always in style and a wardrobe staple, black and white is the safest way to go if you're  in a fashion funk.  A little black and white can go a long way.  Loving all these, and how cute are those flats?  The striped sweater is even a little sparkly so perfect for the upcoming holiday season too!

Monday Motivation

September 16, 2013

A little something to motivate us on this Fall feeling Monday!  I have another short work week this week, (insert cheers here) I have a seminar I will be attending  Thursday and Friday!  My boss, who was is my friend, started a new position at a different company today.   I wish her the very best, and while things will be very weird around my office for a while, It is a chance for us to grow and develop into the next great thing.  She and I have worked together for the past 7 years, and I will miss her at my office.  Make it a great day peeps!

Fridays Findings

September 13, 2013
Happy Friday!  Do you have any great plans for the weekend?  The weather is suppose to be beautiful and I intend to take full advantage of it.  Maybe spend an afternoon on a patio with my guy enjoying some vino, and a little window shopping.  I have several collaborations in the works so there will be lots of picture taking too!!

I really want these shoes with the cute little bows.

I picked this scarf last night on my way home and wore it today to the office!

My love for bracelets has no end and this fabulous one needs to be added to my collection!

I like to curl up on my love seat and watch a few shows, especially in the fall when it get dark so early.  This throw is perfect and I love the color!

This is a perfect blouse for work!

Ordered a new flavor of these Dharkan and can't wait to try them!

Well,  hello cute little peep toe!

Have a great weekend!

Four Favorites / Leather

September 11, 2013

Leather.  There really is nothing like it.  The smell, the way it wears as you break it in,  and the way it makes you feel.  I remember having a pair of leather pants many years ago.  They were fabulous.  The only bad part to wearing them was when you got hot, and trust me you will in them, its extremely difficult to get out of them.  Oh, and going to the bathroom? forget it!  SO glad fashion has had a little sense knocked into them and these Leggings  are a much more user friendly alternative to the full blown pair!  I love the fact that there are panels of leather instead!

I work in a professional office so sometimes being too fashion forward, or dressing out side of the box as they say, is too much for my environment.  This leather trim Karen Kane Blazer is the perfect touch of edgy style, and staying office appropriate at the same time! And for when you want to wear it on the weekend, pair it with some skinny jeans, and a lace top for an easy transition.  This would definitely be a wardrobe staple.

So you know I have a thing for shoes.  This Schutz Shoes  tie at the back of the ankle is soooo sexy!  Did you check out the metal plate the laces tie thru?  Um, yes please, I will take these in a size 8 thank you!

Now I know I have said before, and if you know me then I know you have heard me say no pleats, or plaids when it comes to skirts.  Sorry, thats the parochial school girl in me!  I had all the plaid pleated skirts to last me a life time in high school.  I am sooo willing to make an exception to the rule with this fabulous to die for Skirt .  Technically it is not a full pleat so there!  Oh the fun I could have with this hot little number!

What do you think of my four favorites this week?  Are you lusting after any leather this season?

Love Suja

September 10, 2013

Juicing. Cleansing. Green smoothies. Whatever you refer to, or have even tried, or wanted to try but maybe, just maybe haven't gotten there yet, the time has come to just do it!  Love Suja was on the shelf, colorful, inviting, and oh so tempting for me.  I grabbed two bottles and headed home.  Love Suja Glow, and Green Supreme.  Why these two?  Well, because the ever so healthy, and fit gal, who looked like she came straight from a workout, picking up her Love Suja, told me these were great.  Glow was a good morning, and the Love Suja Green Supreme was a good dinnertime.  Enough for me!

I came home and went right to the Love Suja website.  True to my nature, I studied the site to see what they had to say about their products, and read plenty of reviews.  I was all in!  I needed to pick up the rest of the juices for a one day juice.

I will admit, I was a little scared to drink the first one, not sure what to expect, or if it would even taste good.  I was pleasantly surprised.  It really did taste good!! They all tasted good to me!   The order you drink the juices are explained clearly for you, as well as all the nutrition in each juice on the side of each bottle, so the guess work was taken out!

Now, I will tell you that I read in some of the reviews people saying Purity, which has beets in it was strong, I didn't have any problem with the taste of beets.   Glow was cucumber and mint, Fuel was definitely carrots, Purity was carrots and beets, but it was every so slightly.  Fiji was a refreshing apple, with cucumber again, and  Green Supreme was like drinking a sweet, but slightly tart apple.  Vanilla Cloud is like your dessert for the day!  Super yummy!  I drank several waters thru out the day in between my juices like suggested, and only around mid afternoon did I feel a little hungry, but I chalk it up to just snack habits.

I chose to do a one day cleanse to see if I liked it.  If you choose to do a 3, or even 5 day cleanse, you just repeat the juices for each day in the same order.

I would definitely do a Love Suja juice cleanse again, and would even do a 3 day cleanse. I enjoyed the flavors of all the juices I tried, and would recommend this to any of my friends.  I wish they were available in airports so you could have something healthy  on your travel days!   I think they are great for a quick nutritional juice on the go, and the perfect way to get your veggies in! So tell me, have you tried Love Suja, or maybe you have a favorite green smoothie you make at home.  I would love your recipes to try!

Love Suja did not sponsor this post.  This is my personal experience, and opinions.  So now you know how good I think they are, get out there and try them for yourself and let me know what you think!

Monday Blues

September 09, 2013
After enjoying a three day weekend last week, I was not looking forward to today.  I think every weekend should be three days!  Oh well, Happy Monday anyway!  How was your weekend?  As the summer is winding down do you find yourself wishing for cooler weather yet, or still holding on to every last bit of heat and sunshine?  The weather is still roasting hot here, and it would be nice for at least some low 80's.  Oh Well!

So, if you follow me on Instagram, you saw my youngest grandson's first birthday was Friday!

He had such an amazing little party with so many presents! I think there was a little bit of over stimulation going on, but he had no problem smashing his cake and eating it!  Pictures soon!

Saturday was a great mail day!  I received this Rustic Cuff leather monogram cuff and love it!  I think it has a bit more casual feel than some of my other cuffs and I am looking forward to wearing it a lot this fall!  Have you heard of Cathryn Ann  yet?  Well, you should definitely check her out.  She sent me these two tassel bracelets, of course in light pink and white, and I'm super excited to share these in an outfit post!

My parents were in town for the weekend, and Saturday we had a few errands to run, so I added to my list a stop by Kohl's and target!  Yes, I picked up not one, but two, of these rhinestone studded collar blouses! They are on sale too!   I am leery of button blouses, but these have stretch!  Win for me!  Can't wait to wear them!  Target is my go to for cotton v neck tee's and a few stripes made it home as well!

I was exhausted by the time Sunday evening rolled around and my parents left.  The heat zapped my energy, and all I wanted to so was catch a little TV, and relax. Here is hoping for a mild Monday, and a calm and steady week!

Four Favorites / Leopard

September 03, 2013

Happy Wednesday!  It was a pretty short order for me to come up with my four favorites this week.  With this weeks theme of Leopard, it was almost as if I could have done this with my eyes closed. Although it was hard to narrow down to just four favorites, these are by far high on my list!

This Belt  is the perfect amount of pop of leopard to add to an outfit.

I have been shopping for the right loafer and I love these  Shoes .

This  Bag would be a great fall addition to my closet.

Rumor has it there could be a new iPhone announcement very soon and this Phone Case would go nicely with my upgrade!

What have you spotted for fall to appease your inner animal?

My Mother's Garden

September 03, 2013

My mother has always had a green thumb.  I swear she could take the deadest plant and not only give it life, but it will thrive like never before.  I remember growing up we had a huge garden full of vegetables, and there was always plenty.  My mom had flower gardens tucked in corners of the yard, and a rose garden smack dab in the center of the side yard.  It was gorgeous.  My father had a greenhouse built for her right next to the rose garden and you would always find her tending to her plants, flowers, and almost always a new clipping of something she brought home she was rooting.

My parent moved from my childhood home a little over ten years ago.  They no longer needed so many bedrooms, stairs, or acres. We had 5 acres!  It was sad to have them leave the only home I every knew, and I really didn't quite know if I could connect to a new house.  They had a new pond built with a wonderful waterfall again, and dad had a smaller greenhouse built next to the house for her, and flowers, plants, and a few vegetables once again adorn my parents yard.

I really can't believe I questioned this.  My mother once again has made a wonderful yard, and home.  Her koi pond, greenhouse, and little menageries around her yard invite you to enjoy the peacefulness.  I love her yard, and want to share some of it with you!

See the net covering the pond?  That is to keep the red hawk that sits on the trellis beside the pond from a swoop and snatch of her beautiful koi!

These days her greenhouse is full of orchids.  Every color, size, shape, and variety!

Happy Tuesday friends!
