Stokke/Tripp Trapp

August 30, 2013
I am so excited to share this review with you!  I have been patiently waiting to take pictures of my little guy in different stages of his little world in his fabulous Stokke Tripp Trapp chair!  My grandsons are stair stepped in age from just turning one, to five!  The versatility and the unique design of the Stokke Tripp Trapp chair was a perfect combination for my house!  I started using my Tripp Trapp chair as soon as it arrived.  My youngest little guy was just old enough to need a highchair.

As he grew, the chair grew with him.  Oh and did I mention it pulls right up to your table?  Same height and brings them closer to the rest of the family meal!  Awesome feature!  But what I really like about the Tripp Trapp is with the different ages of my grandsons the chair will work for all three!  The baby set detaches from the chair making it a safe stool for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. The shoulder straps keeps the boys safely in their chair.  And for my oldest who is 5 it's a perfect seat with a properly adjusted foot rest.  No dangling feet and better support.   I told you it was awesome!  I love how it grows with them.  When I no longer am in need of a high chair it is an addition for any age to the table.

So let me bullet point my perks to the Tripp Trapp Chair

  • Safety shoulder straps
  • Pulls directly to the table keeping the kids at the table instead of removed by a tray
  • Adjust to the age and size of your baby/toddler/little boy
  • Stylish.  I choose the dark mahogany with the dot washable seat cover in black and brown
  • Ergonomically correct for little legs and feet to rest
  • A true investment as it becomes a chair for an adult

The list can go on, but these were my top perks!

If you are in the market for a good highchair and you really want something that will look good and be functional I truly think this is the chair for you.  It is an investment, I won't lie, but think of how long it will be in your kitchen and you won't have to worry with large tray high chairs, and boosters for chairs when they move to the table!  I did all that with my sons, and I am glad to have this for my grandsons!

Stokke is a Norwegian Company located in the northwestern part of Norway.  They have worldwide distribution through selected retails, so easy to find, and easy to order right from their site!   Established in 1932, The Stokke family has owned the company from the beginning.  SIne 2006, they have focused exclusively on children's furniture.  They produce a wide range of furniture and I love the round crib, to their strollers that not only bring the height of the baby up, but turns them around for you to see them too!

I wish I had know of Stokke when I was raising my boys, but I am very glad to know of them for my grandson's.

A little Leopard Sweater

August 29, 2013
This sweater is the perfect color combo for me!  Leopard and Pink!  I have loved this Charlotte Tarantola sweater ever since I first laid eyes on it in the store several years ago.  I look forward to wearing it every year, and hate having to put it up at the end of the spring summer season.  This is the first time I have paired it with yellow, and The Ann Taylor tank turned out to be a perfect match! I usually opt for a black tank, or a white. Boring I know!

Oh ya know, just another glorious day at the lake!  To bad its just for pics and not a vacation day, with a boat, cocktails, friends, and good music!  With all the rain we have received lately everything is so green and lush.  Usually this time of the year everything is brown and dying from the heat.  I know my allergies are not happy about everything still being in bloom!

School has officially started, and I think we are settling into a nice routine.  Sometimes it all feels so surreal to think that I only have two more years of a son living at home.  Well, let me rephrase that, only two more years until he is graduated from HS!  IF I am lucky, he will move into a dorm at college, and I will move to the beach somewhere! A girl can dream can't she?

My youngest grandson will turn one next week. yup, you read that right!  It just seems like yesterday I was sharing his arrival with you here.  The gramps and I went shopping for that special first birthday gift last weekend.  Um hello!? When did toys get so dang expensive?  We wanted to get this  Radio Flyer  grow with my tricycle, but it has been a while since I bought ride on toys and I guess I was shocked at the cost!   So the shopping continues!  I am looking forward to the long weekend to get caught up on what seems like everything in life!  WIsh me luck!  What are your long weekend plans?  Anything fun?

Four Favorites / Labor Day

August 28, 2013

Tuxedo Pants    Steel Toe Shoes    Words   Lips   Nails
Happy Wednesday.  This weeks theme is Labor day, and I can't help but think of the coming of fall when Labor day arrives.  The pools close for the season, the weather begins to get chillier at night, and the rich colors of the season present themselves in fashion.
This time of the year means time to put away the sandals, well for some at least.  I will still wear some for a while to come.  These pixie pants are a perfect fall addition, and love the thought of darker nails and a richer lip color!

Mint and Cobalt

Tee Splendid ~  Jeans Target ~  Bracelet Rustic Cuff c/o ~ Bag Gucci ~ Sandals Sam Edelman ~ Sunnies Chanel ~ Lips Chanel ~ Streets courtesy of downtown KC

I wore this fun summery combo on day two of Go Blog Social.  It was perfect for being comfortable.  The Tee is from Splendid and it is The. Softest. Tee. Ever.!!!  I have only a few Splendid shirts in my closet, but every single one of them is buttery soft and colorful!  I would love to have more!  I paired this tee with my skinny jeans from Target, slipped on my Sam Edelman gladiator sandals and cutie patootie done!  I rarely am without a bracelet and this outfit didn't need a stack of color so I opted for a gold cutout from my cuff collection!

This outfit will be on repeat until the weather turns to fall here.  Don't you just love when an outfit comes together so seamlessly?  I will transition the tee for fall by layering it with a few jackets and cardigan.  It is that time to start thinking about layering up, and even though it is scorching hot here this week, I am thinking all fall!  My pedicure is about to go dark!!

Have you started the fall transition?  I would love to know what's on your fall wish list!
