Love Suja

September 10, 2013

Juicing. Cleansing. Green smoothies. Whatever you refer to, or have even tried, or wanted to try but maybe, just maybe haven't gotten there yet, the time has come to just do it!  Love Suja was on the shelf, colorful, inviting, and oh so tempting for me.  I grabbed two bottles and headed home.  Love Suja Glow, and Green Supreme.  Why these two?  Well, because the ever so healthy, and fit gal, who looked like she came straight from a workout, picking up her Love Suja, told me these were great.  Glow was a good morning, and the Love Suja Green Supreme was a good dinnertime.  Enough for me!

I came home and went right to the Love Suja website.  True to my nature, I studied the site to see what they had to say about their products, and read plenty of reviews.  I was all in!  I needed to pick up the rest of the juices for a one day juice.

I will admit, I was a little scared to drink the first one, not sure what to expect, or if it would even taste good.  I was pleasantly surprised.  It really did taste good!! They all tasted good to me!   The order you drink the juices are explained clearly for you, as well as all the nutrition in each juice on the side of each bottle, so the guess work was taken out!

Now, I will tell you that I read in some of the reviews people saying Purity, which has beets in it was strong, I didn't have any problem with the taste of beets.   Glow was cucumber and mint, Fuel was definitely carrots, Purity was carrots and beets, but it was every so slightly.  Fiji was a refreshing apple, with cucumber again, and  Green Supreme was like drinking a sweet, but slightly tart apple.  Vanilla Cloud is like your dessert for the day!  Super yummy!  I drank several waters thru out the day in between my juices like suggested, and only around mid afternoon did I feel a little hungry, but I chalk it up to just snack habits.

I chose to do a one day cleanse to see if I liked it.  If you choose to do a 3, or even 5 day cleanse, you just repeat the juices for each day in the same order.

I would definitely do a Love Suja juice cleanse again, and would even do a 3 day cleanse. I enjoyed the flavors of all the juices I tried, and would recommend this to any of my friends.  I wish they were available in airports so you could have something healthy  on your travel days!   I think they are great for a quick nutritional juice on the go, and the perfect way to get your veggies in! So tell me, have you tried Love Suja, or maybe you have a favorite green smoothie you make at home.  I would love your recipes to try!

Love Suja did not sponsor this post.  This is my personal experience, and opinions.  So now you know how good I think they are, get out there and try them for yourself and let me know what you think!

Monday Blues

September 09, 2013
After enjoying a three day weekend last week, I was not looking forward to today.  I think every weekend should be three days!  Oh well, Happy Monday anyway!  How was your weekend?  As the summer is winding down do you find yourself wishing for cooler weather yet, or still holding on to every last bit of heat and sunshine?  The weather is still roasting hot here, and it would be nice for at least some low 80's.  Oh Well!

So, if you follow me on Instagram, you saw my youngest grandson's first birthday was Friday!

He had such an amazing little party with so many presents! I think there was a little bit of over stimulation going on, but he had no problem smashing his cake and eating it!  Pictures soon!

Saturday was a great mail day!  I received this Rustic Cuff leather monogram cuff and love it!  I think it has a bit more casual feel than some of my other cuffs and I am looking forward to wearing it a lot this fall!  Have you heard of Cathryn Ann  yet?  Well, you should definitely check her out.  She sent me these two tassel bracelets, of course in light pink and white, and I'm super excited to share these in an outfit post!

My parents were in town for the weekend, and Saturday we had a few errands to run, so I added to my list a stop by Kohl's and target!  Yes, I picked up not one, but two, of these rhinestone studded collar blouses! They are on sale too!   I am leery of button blouses, but these have stretch!  Win for me!  Can't wait to wear them!  Target is my go to for cotton v neck tee's and a few stripes made it home as well!

I was exhausted by the time Sunday evening rolled around and my parents left.  The heat zapped my energy, and all I wanted to so was catch a little TV, and relax. Here is hoping for a mild Monday, and a calm and steady week!

Four Favorites / Leopard

September 03, 2013

Happy Wednesday!  It was a pretty short order for me to come up with my four favorites this week.  With this weeks theme of Leopard, it was almost as if I could have done this with my eyes closed. Although it was hard to narrow down to just four favorites, these are by far high on my list!

This Belt  is the perfect amount of pop of leopard to add to an outfit.

I have been shopping for the right loafer and I love these  Shoes .

This  Bag would be a great fall addition to my closet.

Rumor has it there could be a new iPhone announcement very soon and this Phone Case would go nicely with my upgrade!

What have you spotted for fall to appease your inner animal?

My Mother's Garden

September 03, 2013

My mother has always had a green thumb.  I swear she could take the deadest plant and not only give it life, but it will thrive like never before.  I remember growing up we had a huge garden full of vegetables, and there was always plenty.  My mom had flower gardens tucked in corners of the yard, and a rose garden smack dab in the center of the side yard.  It was gorgeous.  My father had a greenhouse built for her right next to the rose garden and you would always find her tending to her plants, flowers, and almost always a new clipping of something she brought home she was rooting.

My parent moved from my childhood home a little over ten years ago.  They no longer needed so many bedrooms, stairs, or acres. We had 5 acres!  It was sad to have them leave the only home I every knew, and I really didn't quite know if I could connect to a new house.  They had a new pond built with a wonderful waterfall again, and dad had a smaller greenhouse built next to the house for her, and flowers, plants, and a few vegetables once again adorn my parents yard.

I really can't believe I questioned this.  My mother once again has made a wonderful yard, and home.  Her koi pond, greenhouse, and little menageries around her yard invite you to enjoy the peacefulness.  I love her yard, and want to share some of it with you!

See the net covering the pond?  That is to keep the red hawk that sits on the trellis beside the pond from a swoop and snatch of her beautiful koi!

These days her greenhouse is full of orchids.  Every color, size, shape, and variety!

Happy Tuesday friends!
