#Pinktober

October 21, 2014

October is breast cancer awareness month and that means two things... It's time to check your girls, and pink is the color of the month!  I have mentioned before that one of my sisters is a breast cancer survivor with that I can't tell you how important it is to have a yearly checkup.  It will be the best appointment you make all year.

With it getting darker earlier it makes it difficult to get a bright white background shot.  Sooo...... this lovely blue cast background we will pretend was on purpose!  These are just some of my favorite pinks in my closet and home!

In the U.S., 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Every 19 seconds, someone in the world is diagnosed with breast cancer.

Every 15 minutes, a woman dies of breast cancer.

When breast cancer is detected early in the localized stage, the 5 year survival rate is over 95%.

It has been estimated that if every woman over the age of 50 had her yearly mammogram, breast cancer deaths in this age group would drop by 25% or more.

So... if you love pink as much as I do, here is my roundup of a few things that have my attention... ok, seriously I want it all!
