Meet Kristina, the fabulous illustrator behind  Emmakisstina!

I asked her to tell us a little bit about herself and here is what she had to say. I just love her work.   Thanks Kristina.

Have you ever lived anywhere besides Sweden?
I've lived in a few wonderful places and I hope to live in a few more. I grew up in the States. My first 17 years were spent in Portland, Maine, and then my family and I were transplanted to Tampa, Florida. 4 years ago I got sick of the sun and heat and moved home to Sweden; I've got Swedish roots. I've even fulfilled every girl's dream by living in Paris for a month one summer. It was gorgeous!

What was/is your favorite pet or animal?
Growing up I had a gorgeous long haired kitty named, Kato. She was totally evil so I would have to go with my parent's two current mini Schnauzers, Jack and Geordie. I've never met sweeter, cuter, cuddlier little doggies. They just want hugs constantly. I miss them so much now that I live across the Atlantic. Thank goodness for Skype.

If you could visit anywhere where would it be? and Why?
There are many places I haven't been, and I want to travel just about anywhere and everywhere. Asia is big on my list, but I'd have to say that I'd like to explore the Mediterranean a bit more, preferably on a sailboat, island hopping. My boyfriend Johan, and I vacationed on Skopelos, one of the Greek islands two years ago. Sounds dorky, but it was seriously magical. Turquoise water too gorgeous to describe and ridiculously amazing sunsets. I want more... Italy's Amalfi coast, the gorgeous islands of Croatia, and even more Greek Isles.

Do you prefer the ocean or the mountains?
The ocean definitely! I don't think I could live in a place not near the water. I do love exploring Sweden's woods though. They are so quiet and unthreatening; we go wild blueberry, and lingon picking. Stockholm is amazing because I get the best of both worlds; fun city life and closeness to the country and the water.

How did you first realize you had an artistic talent?
I suppose when my parents praise went from 'Oh that's nice Sweetheart' to genuine 'Wow, Honey, that's really great!'.
